Missions
Serving the Community
Church of the New Covenant proclaims God’s love in its
support of local missions with gifts of time and talents and money. The
missions we support focus on refugee services, homeless men, and at-risk
families. Our community service programs provide a rich variety of
opportunities for volunteers to lead and serve in their community.
Concerts with a Cause
Concerts with a Cause is a concert series presented by various performers and Church of the New Covenant as a gift to the community. It is hoped that this series of concerts will enrich the cultural life of the community and aid deserving programs, ministries and missions, in and beyond the Atlanta area. A freewill offering is taken at the close of each program and donated to a designated cause. Performance fees, if required, are underwritten by donors prior to concert dates, so that all audience contributions may be applied to the particular cause of each concert. If you wish to contribute towards the support of this series, please make your contribution payable to “Church of the New Covenant,” with the designation “Concerts with a Cause Fund.”
Cross Cultural Ministries
Cross Cultural Ministries is a non-denominational center for children ages 5 to 15 who want to benefit from religious education, school subject tutoring, and family support. Headed by Virginia Cosgrove, a Christian pastor, the center sponsors daily homework help sessions, English language teaching for adults, special holiday celebrations, some donated clothing and food distribution, religious worship services, and other activities.
CCM is housed in a duplex on Pearl Lane in Doraville, close to our church and in the neighborhood where the families live. This ministry is supported by many local churches and a Board of Directors.
CNC contributes to this ministry by providing volunteers on a regular basis to assist with tutoring, by sponsoring two yearly events (Christmas Crafts for Kids and Vacation Bible School) in our building, and by donating funds and other materials as needed.
Clifton Sanctuary Ministries
The Clifton Sanctuary Ministry provides food and shelter to
homeless men who are sick, elderly and disabled and provides a place where
homeless men and volunteers can share community. Opportunities are available to
prepare a Saturday evening meal and share it with the guests at the shelter.
Early evening hosts also do laundry at the shelter.
