If you have an interest serving the homeless at this worthy ministry, please contact Bob W. to learn more about available opportunities. SERVICE OF HEALING AND PRAYER You are invited to a service of healing and prayer every Wednesday at 5:30pm. CALLED CONGREGATIONAL MEETING There will be a called congregational meeting on April 13 to elect one Elder to the Session. Please note that this date is different than previously published. PRAYERS FOR OUR TROOPS Karen Barber of Alpharetta set up a website in response to a request from her son, Chris, who was stationed in Iraq. He prayed with his troops before every mission and told his mom, “I’m running out of things to say. Could you e-mail me some good prayers?” Although Chris is safely back in the states, you can still log on to militaryprayers.org and submit a prayer for other members of our military to use. Concerns and Celebrations Prayers for: Mimi C., for healing; Linda J., for diligence, fortitude, and courage as she gets closer to finishing her doctoral work; Susan G., who is recovering from surgery; Jim W. as he struggles to manage the symptoms of his Muscular Dystrophy; Eugenia P. that she regains her strength; John W., for patience in his continued healing; Paul R., who will undergo surgery to have a defibrillator/pacemaker installed; Eryn J., who will be speaking about her time in Taiwan; Helen N., Doris L.’s friend, who is battling caner for the fourth time; The Ballengall family on the death of their daughter Lynn; Jimmy and Nicki S. on the passing of their wife and mother, Cleo S.; The families of Bob W. and Bobby S., both of whom were classmates of Scott H.. Bob and Bobby both died of heart attacks eight days apart; Susan F.’s sister Cat, who was recently diagnosed with cancer; Michael S., a friend of Gaelyn W., whose friend committed suicide; Helen P.’s son, who broke his leg; Tanya M.’s friend Dawn, who lost her mother and father; Nancy B.’s friend Wally, who is struggling in his nursing home; Denise M., Scott J.’s coworker, who is recovering from cancer and is undergoing precautionary treatment; Robert L., friend of Curt S., who is facing uncertainty in his life; Rosie, friend of Mina G., in her recent cancer diagnosis; guidance and peace as we face an unstable economy.
